The Noodler?

I thought you were going to call it like “How the Heck?” or something?

Right. I put it to a vote on Instagram, then I never checked the final results in time. So we’ll stick with Noodler for now.

Why Noodler?

Well, I want to explore things that are tickling my noodle. I want to scratch my noodle with you guys, I guess.

And why for now?

Well, it can change. I just set up this newsletter, and I’ll update things once people subscribe. Plus, I’m not even sure I’ll enjoy writing a newsletter.

So…remind me, why are you doing this? 

Ah yes. Good question. I asked myself that too. And made a list.

WHY AM I DOING THIS?

I want to:

• improve my writing

• dive head first into subjects that I know nothing about

• create a decentralized autonomous organization & newsletter

• become more comfortable (i.e. less sensitive around) expressing myself online

Back it up, Che, a decentralized what?

I’ll explain a bit later, but essentially I want to make this a collaborative newsletter that reads kinda like a group Choose Your Own Adventure… or kinda like an intergalactic voyage across space with no one in particular at the wheel, and no destination in mind. 

Hang on, what’s with your question and answer thing? 

I was just wondering that myself. I think it may be useful right now for my brain to think about something, then answer it. I probably wont write like this in my posts.

OK, sure. So, a driverless space voyage…? 

Yeah, well eventually, that’s the goal. But I may have to steer the spacecraft for a while. I’ll explain more about a possible goal, along the way, but right now I have a fuzzy idea of what our destination may look like. So really, this is also an experiment, and the main resource required right now is your attention. 

… ummm, what are you talking about? 

I’m sorry, this is my first newsletter. I actually have no idea what I’m doing. Let me start from the beginning.

We are all Noodlers in this cosmic voyage, travelling through the same space-time wormhole. Technically, we’re more like evolved worms than noodles. Like a long piece of sentient macaroni? There must be a name for a pasta like that? Bucatini? But not that long though. Anyways, the point of this newsletter is to learn about our wormhole and to communicate with other digestive meat tubes along the way.

*you, confused look*

Lots of things have been tickling my noodle recently, and I want to scratch these itchers with you, is all.

Like what kind of things?

Anything really, but in a meta way I was hoping to touch on things like technology, collaboration, creativity, art, experiments, that sort of thing.

What do you mean meta?

Well, I’m kinda hoping the Noodler would manifest itself as some form of technological-collaborative-creative art experiment thing…

I’m not sure I follow.

I’m not sure I do either. But maybe follow me down the worm hole, if you want to whet that noodle.
